Linda Jurkiewicz lives in Kansas City and began working with textiles in 2005. Her use of text, rhythm, and repetition all come into play in her fiber work as she delves into life experiences that many humans encounter. Her upbringing in a first generation Ukrainian-Croatian family created in her a “make-do” attitude that fits nicely with the use of re-purposed fiber, dish towels, sheets and clothing.
