80" x 100"Fiber, hand embroidered, stamped, hand-dyed

This piece was inspired by the Graphite Reactor at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, “The Birthplace of the Atomic Bomb” in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
This reactor produced the plutonium used to build the atom bomb which was dropped on Nagasaki in World War II. Would the workers continued to have performed their duties had they known the havoc it wreaked in the end?
